Lukas Klotzsche began his competitive ballroom dance career at the tender age of seven. Lukas achieved many high honors while dancing as an amateur and later professionally in Germany. In 2009 Lukas began his dance career in the US. Some of his accomplishments include:

(2022) I have been taking private dance lessons at Elegant Dancing for a little over 1.5 months. The owner, Chris, and the staff are very customer friendly, professional, and help to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Jim at the front desk is welcoming and exercised excellent judgement in pairing me with my dance teacher, Lukas Klotzsche. I look foward to each and every lesson with Lukas. I have been making good progress while having so much fun! (2022) I've been dancing as a fun hobby and a great workout - on and off - for over 30 years. I’ve travelled and moved around a lot and I must say that Elegant Dancing studio is by far the best dancing studios I've ever been to. The owners (Chris and Una) and the staff (Jim in particular) are attentive, friendly, and care very much about their business and their customers. They make you feel like you’re part of the dancing family and not just a paycheck. Prices are very reasonable and unlike franchised studios, Elegant Dancing, has seasoned, expert professionals with years of dancing experience as instructors. I’ve been taking regular private lessons with Lukas Klotzsche and with Javier Buentello who are fun-loving and amazing at what they do. They both listen well, teach with technique and style, and bring and abundance of energy and enthusiasm. I also regularly attend group classes taught by many of the other instructors. Basically, they’re all amazing instructors at this studio so you can’t really go wrong with anyone. Javier’s, Chris’, Edwin’s and Malin’s group classes have become weekly routines for me — as the most fun way for me to get a daily workout in whist learning new steps for dancing. It’s wonderful when am instructor takes pride in this beautiful and expressive form of art, and in his or her appearance! Prior to joining this studio, I had only ever danced the American smooth & rhythm and basically learned the Standard style with Lukas Klotzsche. I have completely fallen in love with the style and want to see how far I can take it. Lukas is easily one of the top instructors I've ever worked with. He’s technically flawless and his many years of competitive dancing shows not only in his professionalism and how he carries himself but also in his methodical approach to teaching.

(2022) When I came to take my first dance lesson from Lukas Klotzsche at Elegant Dancing, I hadn’t danced ballroom for some years and I had never danced with him. I was so nervous. But Lukas stood out at the studio as a beautiful dancer— clearly knowledgeable of his craft.
It turned out that Lukas was not only masterful in teaching dance but also personable and easy to connect with. He put me at ease right away, and the thrill of dancing came back to me at the first lesson. He has the perfect balance of being nurturing and challenging. Under his sensible guidance, there is a satisfaction of working hard and reaching further than I had expected from myself… all while having so much fun at every lesson and often laughing to tears.
Dance has become more than “just dance” but a vehicle for deep self-exploration that extends well beyond the dance floor. And I feel fortunate to have somebody as good-hearted and mindful as Lukas as my guide in this journey.

(2021) Lukas at Elegant Dancing was instrumental in making our wedding reception dreams of a formal wedding dance a reality. Lukas is not only professional and patient but he is an accomplished dancer that knows how to customize a dance routine to fit the couple no matter the experience level. His fun and exciting personality was exactly what we needed to build our confidence and master our dancing.
