It was during the Neo-Swing Movement of the late 1990's that galvanized Alex's fascination into the world of dance.

After graduating college, he apprenticed with Pierre Dulaine’s Dancing Classroom’s program (Mad, Hot Ballroom and “Take the Lead”) where he trained as a teacher for inner city youth.

After relocating to Virginia, Alex became Elegant Dancing’s first full-time teacher where he remains among the few professionals certified to teach Peabody.

Alex is known as a kind, patient, knowledgeable teacher, comfortable in competitive and social dance, American and International styles, beginner and advanced instruction. He continues to present many of his students in competition, winning numerous Top Teacher awards.

Alex is a mainstay of Elegant Dancing’s Medal Testing program, which methodically graduates students from level to level as they advance. Alex especially enjoys performing showcases, for the creativity, personal growth and confidence they afford his students.

Alex is a sincere and thoroughly dedicated, full-time dance professional. He is the teacher you want if you are new to dancing, you like a logical / methodical approach to learning, and want a low-stress, fun lesson that will leave you feeling great about your new hobby.
