Yulia Kharlova
Yulia started dancing at the age of 7 in Tomsk (Russia). During 1992-1997, she danced as an Amateur in 10 Dances (Ballroom & Latin American), achieving the title of Undefeated Province Champion for several years in a row.
Thereafter she specialized in teaching competitive couples in well-known Russian dance studios in Moscow, Novosibirsk, Barnaul, Tomsk, as well as using her expertise in judging at many prestigious competitions across Russia.
In May 2009 Yulia was invited to start dancing as a Professional for South Africa.
During 2009-2013 she was representing South Africa at the biggest international dance events, including being three times an Ambassador to the WDC World Professional Championships in Germany, South Korea and England!
At the end of 2013 Yulia decided to resign from competitive dancing & focus on her teaching & adjudicating career. Currently Yulia holds the highest professional international qualifications – International Dance Teachers’ Association (IDTA) Fellow qualification in Latin & Ballroom (Great Britain). She is a WDC, SADF & SADTA adjudicator and Chairperson of Adjudicators.
