International Style
What is Latin Dancing?
International Latin dancing refers to a specific category of ballroom dance, consisting of five distinct dances: Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Paso Doble, and Jive, which are recognized globally as the standard "Latin" dances in competitive ballroom competitions, characterized by their energetic, sensual movements, and emphasis on straight leg lines and balletic body posture; unlike social Latin dances like salsa or merengue, which are considered separate styles despite having Latin American origins.
The Latin dances are among the most popular ballroom dances world-wide.
